It's but a really fun style. The random nature of Escape Pod drops leads to a pretty satisfying back-and-along, with teams constantly shifting between offense and defense. And similar Rush, information technology forces players towards an objective and mitigates the "I've run for five minutes and oasis't seen anybody" trouble you occasionally find in more freeform game types.
Best of all is when multiple Escape Pods land at the same time—something I've seen happen twice then far. Information technology's rare, but it forces teams to apace decide whether they risk it and become for both or play information technology safe and cede one to the enemy. I'd actually similar to see those occurrences happen more ofttimes, as it's an interesting tactical scenario.
On the other mitt, Drop Zone isn't very Battlefront-y. No vehicles, no heroes. Nix but grunts with assault rifles.
For that classic Battlefront feel, you need to play the other multiplayer style: Walker Attack, a.k.a. what I saw back at E3. This one…ugh. It's the "big" mode in the Battlefront beta, topping out at 40 players. Plus it's got AT-ATs! And AT-Sts! And A-Wings! And Y-Wings!
Okay, so that last one is completely AI-controlled, and the AT-ATs just walk in a straight line the whole time. But uh…they exist. And you can become Luke Skywalker/Darth Vader if you're the lucky person who snatches the corresponding ability-up.
It's merely not a very interesting game manner. It lacks the dynamism that makes the Battle of Hoth such a archetype gear up-piece, and information technology lacks the player count and the thespian agency that fabricated Battlefield 2142'southward Titan Way experience ballsy and chaotic. The map's too massive and too empty, the film'southward struggle betwixt A-Wings and AT-ATs practically nonexistent, and an Imperial squad tin win with one lightsaber tied behind its back at the moment considering no Rebel team seems to know what the hell they're supposed to be doing. On a 980 Ti I'1000 able to creepo Ultra, 1920×1080 at 100 to 110 frames per second, which is stunning. I've had a few hitches so far, but it's hard to tell what's server-side and what's non. Also, one difficult crash-to-desktop, because information technology wouldn't be a Battlefieldfront beta without some bug. We'll run into how the game holds up come Thursday when it opens to everyone.

I'thou loving Drop Zone, I'm dreading Walker Assault, and I'm bored with Survival. Still, one out of three isn't bad for a beta, and I'chiliad definitely looking forward to Battlefront more than at present than I was subsequently E3.
